Ilayda Ozdemir

Hello, I am Ilayda, a qualified business consultant and life coach with a relevant expertise in the areas of personality inventorying and psychology. I have relevant background enabling me prepare personality tests and questionnaires to help easing the process of personnel selection for my clients given my familiarity with career counselling and psychology.

I help small-medium business owners get insight on how they can improve their business, products, and overall customer experience. I work closely with employers to better manage their services, understand, and use such concepts as marketing strategy and identify potential skill gaps in the organization. I believe that the greater match between the chosen occupation and the personality, the greater life and career satisfaction, therefore I benefit from a wide range of personality assessment tools and processes to fit the business requirements. This will also help businesses to reduce the cost of advertising and recruitment.

I also help individuals who seek help to produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives and achieve what they desire. As a lifestyle coach, who has a background in psychological counselling, I think that every coaching relationship is a helping relationship. My interest and passion for supporting people who want to reach their goals and enhance their work performance and quality of life motivates me.

Background and Training

Upon the completion of my undergraduate degree, I decided to further my
interest in counselling by participating in an internship in Germany for a duration
of nine months. I able to observe and work under the supervision of a family
counsellor whose clients mainly consisted of individuals from a Turkish cultural
background residing in Germany. This internship allowed me to put in to practice
and gain an in depth understanding of various theories that I have learnt
throughout my degree.

Moreover, in my final year of study, I had the opportunity to partake in a
compulsory apprenticeship at the School Counselling service within a primary
school. This internship allowed me to experience working with individuals of a
younger age group within an educational setting.

Furthermore, due to my previous experience, I gained the confidence to run a
group therapy programme for secondary school students that were experiencing
anxiety due to exams. This group consisted of ten students who were required to
participate once a week for a duration of eight weeks. Including myself, there
were a total of three counsellors who conducted weekly gatherings teaching
students a variety of techniques that they can apply to their daily life to overcome
anxiety.
